This Post is Not About Crackdown

It’s about how WordPress just fucked me out of a post. I guess the auto-save feature isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I had just finished writing a post about Crackdown and my additiction to agility orbs and clicked the “Save and Continue Editing” button so I could preview my post before publishing. Instead of refreshing the post as it normally does, it took me to a page that asked if I’m sure I want to edit the post - to which I said “yes” while a little confused.

Lost Planet 3.5

I Never Talked About Lost Planet

There were a few games I had planned to review, but after losing all my progress when I deleted my profile and having pretty much made the decision to ditch the formal reviews, I just never got around to them. Over the next week or so, I’m going to roll out a bunch of posts and talk about those games that got missed. Lost Planet being the first of the bunch.

Cleaning Out My Friends List

I’ve been making an effort to spend more of my gaming time playing multiplayer via Xbox Live as of late. There are many reasons I don’t put many hours into online play - the most prominent being the fact that I can’t stand being yelled at by 12 year-olds who shouldn’t be playing mature rated games anyway. Come to think of it, the random banter you hear come out of the younger players mouths is more annoying than the whining, but that’s beside the point. Playing with the “general public” usually isn’t all that fun and is often spoiled by 1 or 2 asshats.

Oh, How I Crave Oblivion

I know for a fact that my buddy Andrew is already laughing at me. I’ve always mocked fantasy based RPGs and those that play them. I just never really got into the whole fantasy thing early on and as much as I love sci-fi, it just seemed far more “geek” to me. Like this barrier that I dare not cross. Well, when Oblivion hit and that’s all anyone talked about for months on end, I had to find out what all the fuss was about.

Reader Poll: Keep Reviews or Ditch Them?

For some time now, I’ve been toying with the idea of ditching my “formal” game reviews for lower key, casual observations. Take this post where I discuss my thoughts on Dead Rising and Saints Row after spending some time with the demos of each game. Now compare it to each game’s review. Another good example of a casual, open-ended post is my take on Splinter Cell: Double Agent after playing the first few missions. I never did get around to reviewing that game.
