Ghostbusters: The Video Game is one that fans of the movies will love, without a doubt. It’s very true to the source material and a lot of fun, especially early on. But with its short campaign and questionable online play, it’s hard to give it a solid “go out and buy this now!” recommendation. I bought it, since my wife was crazy excited to get her hands on it as well, and my eldest daughter is now playing it too. So definitely money well spent in my household.

First person shooters are a dime a dozen. Especially in North America – this genre of gaming is completely flooded and for the most part, each new game brings a slight twist but nothing more. But every once in a while a game comes along and changes all of that. While The Darkness is not entirely unique by any means, it manages to do just enough to really stand out in the crowd. At the same time, the familiarity that I feel while playing this game gives me a warm and tingly feeling deep down.

People love year-end lists right? Yeah, me too!
Now, first off. I am only one man. One busy man at that. But I do feel I’ve put in my fair share of hours into gaming over the past year. Some of these hours spent playing games that may not have come out in 2004, but may have still been amongst the best I played. Also keep in mind that I don’t own a PS2. So you’re notta gonna see any mention of Snake Eater or San Andreas in here. Anyways, of all the amazing games…

…well, the movie might. But the game sure as hell doesn’t!
Just before Halo 2 was released, I picked up The Chronicles Of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay at Rogers for $25. I was pretty stoked, since I wanted to get the game anyways, and was willing to pay full price – but $25! Come on! Anyways, I didn’t even touch it until about 2 weeks ago. And from the moment I fired it up, I was hooked!
You play as Riddick, Vin Diesel’s character. Yeah I know, Vin Diesel sucks. But believe it…
