Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway

I couldn’t have been more thrilled to reprise the role of Staff Sergeant Matt Baker of the 101st Airborne Division in Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway. After all, it’s been years since a truly great WWII shooter has graced the market. And while the genre has definitely been over-saturated, I’m always willing to make room for one more in my collection if it’s of the stature of the Brothers in Arms series.

Call Of Duty 2: Review

The Call of Duty franchise is like no other. Among the sea of World War 2 themed games that have been released over the past few years, the COD series has continued to stand out and lead the pack as one of the most intense and memorable game experiences. This stands true in Call of Duty 2 as you once again suit up as an American, British and Russian soldier to battle the German empire.

No, I’m not sick of World War II games – to be honest, I don’t think I ever could be. As long as they keep varying the game type, I’m good. I think we can all agree the WWII FPS market is a little flooded, but there aren’t many (any?) really good aerial combat games. I was totally looking forward to Secret Weapons Over Normandy, especially since Michael Giacchino was announced as being the composer months before it’s release. I should have known when the soundtrack was getting more hype than the game. The flying just wasn’t that good. I loved the flying engine in Battlefield 1942, and everything else just doesn’t seem to cut it. Until now!

I’m not gonna beat around the bush here… Brothers In Arms: Road To Hill 30 is one of the best games I’ve ever played, hands down. You can’t even compare the dozens of other WWII FPS to it – there’s simply no comparison. BIA is such a unique experience that it soars above the rest in a place all it’s own.

It’s based on a true story with the highest level of accuracy and authenticity I’ve seen in a game. Not that I’m a WWII expert or anything – but they’ve…

Call Of Duty United Offensive: Review

I know I’m a bit late writing about this now – as it came out in like September of last year. I actually picked it up the day it was released, but never got around to really playing it until now. The main reason was, the second level in – there were so many dudes on screen that it chugged like a mo’fo. I toned it down to medium details and it didn’t make enough of a difference. And being the nerd I am – I like my games to look the best they can……
