It’s kind of hard to recommend this game as it is very short. I’m actually a little embarrassed to say, but I finished it in less than 24 hours from the time I bought it. If you’re big into achievement points and a fan of the action adventure genre, Tomb Raider Legend is at least worth a rent. It’s just good, old-fashioned fun at it’s best.

G.R.A.W. was the system seller for me. I’ve been considering an Xbox 360 since it’s release and with the PC version being pushed back a couple months and me hating on PC gaming these days, I just had to pick one up. It is, without a doubt, one of the best games I’ve played. Even though I beat it over a week ago, I’ve still been playing it pretty steady. I highly recommend you check this game out if you’re a 360 owner – and if not, it might be time to seriously consider making that investment.

Overall, I had some fun playing Black. I don’t see myself playing through the entire game again. I’ve already played some of the levels through a second time, which was just as fun if not more with infinite ammo.

On January 27, 2006, French game developer Nadeo did something no developer has done before. They released a game specifically designed for the ESWC absolutely free for the entire world. Trackmania Nations ESWC is the third installment in the Trackmania series and will totally knock your socks off… if of course you’re wearing any.

Straight up, F.E.A.R. is one of the best games I have ever played. It’s one of those games that comes along once or twice a year that just blows your mind, over and over and fully justifies the thousands of dollars you’ve spent on hardware to game on a PC. It’s hard to find a starting point for this review as every aspect of the game is astounding.

I had planned to review F.E.A.R. and Call of Duty 2 before Battlefront 2, but I’ve had so much fun playing it, I just couldn’t hold out. Battlefront 2 is the ultimate Star Wars game. If you enjoyed the first one, chances are you’ll love the sequel.
For those that aren’t familiar with the series – Star Was Battlefront is exactly what it’s name implies. You are one amongst massive battles that you’ve seen in the Star Wars movies. You can play as any of the four factions (Rebels, Empire, Republic and CIS), re-enacting the epic battles on various planets and for the first time, in space. All the vehicles and weapons are also present, including some that only made brief appearances in the movies.

Quake is a powerful word in the gaming community. It marked the beginning of multiplayer gaming that we know today. At least, it does for me. I was in grade eleven when it came out and remember installing it off the network at my high school and playing sixteen player deathmatch in the multimedia lab over lunch break. Those were some good times!

After a weekend away from home, I was looking forward to some serious gaming tonight. I’ve got a ton of new games recently, but I didn’t end up playing any of them. The first demo for Peter Jackson’s King Kong was released on Friday while I was out of town. After seeing the screenshots and short video clips from E3 and shortly after, I wasn’t overly stoked on it. Not to mention that movie games are supposed to suck. After all, the only game based on a movie franchise I’ve really enjoyed (besides a few of the Star Wars games) was The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay. Great game – shit ass movie.

HDR Demo Video (0:47)
Over the past few weeks, I’ve read many articles on HDR (High Dynamic Range) and have been pretty excited for the release of Half-Life 2: The Lost Coast – a short tech demo of a segment of the HWY 17 portion of the game which showcases HDR.
So, what is HDR lighting and why should you care? In plain english; HDR lighting adds a level of realism to games that we’re yet to experience. Picture yourself walking through a dark hallway. At the end of the hallway is a …

No, I’m not sick of World War II games – to be honest, I don’t think I ever could be. As long as they keep varying the game type, I’m good. I think we can all agree the WWII FPS market is a little flooded, but there aren’t many (any?) really good aerial combat games. I was totally looking forward to Secret Weapons Over Normandy, especially since Michael Giacchino was announced as being the composer months before it’s release. I should have known when the soundtrack was getting more hype than the game. The flying just wasn’t that good. I loved the flying engine in Battlefield 1942, and everything else just doesn’t seem to cut it. Until now!
