Man, am I ever [fucking] drained! The past few weeks have been so busy and there’s been so much going on in all aspects of my life, that I feel that I just can’t keep up, but I have to keep plugging away. Not because I want to – I would definitely love to just drop everything for a couple weeks and do nothing but hang out with the family and play video games. Starting Thursday, June 30 at 8pm right through until Monday, June 18 – that’s exactly what I’ll going to be doing. …

It’s been over three months since I decided – or rather, was persuaded to stop consuming animals. A lot has changed in that time and I’m happy to say that it hasn’t been as tough as I was expecting it to be. I haven’t been able to cut all animal products and bi-products out of my diet entirely. But I feel that I’ve taken some giant steps forward and am proud of myself and my family for that.
I was pleasantly surprised to find there’s an abundance of products out there for veggies and vegans …

While everyone else in the blogesphere is posting about how great OS X Tiger is – I find myself, yet again complaining about Microsoft. Actually, this time it’s more pointing and laughing than complaining. Check this out…
I saw a post on Neowin about the new Windows Messenger. First off, I didn’t even realize that was still around… and what’s the point since MSN is obviously dominating the IM market. In any case, the lack of screenshots and documentation followed by reading all of the positive feedback enticed me to download it. After validating my …

A client of mine asked me if I could go in and customize their MySpace profile. Figuring I’d just be entering some hex codes into input boxes, I agreed to help out. 3 frustrating hours later, I’ve succeeded in doing noooooooothing! There is no theme management or customization type area. In order to change the style, you have to enter a hacked and slashed version of html and css into any of the boxes that contain your information.
Obviously, customization was an after-thought… and they really shouldn’t have bothered with it. The profile pages (or …

I feel sick to my stomach and horribly guilty. I’ve always eaten meat, worn leather/suede shoes and I’m currently sporting a leather jacket. Why do I feel guilty? Because I’ve been doing a little research.
It all started a couple weeks ago when I picked up the new Goldfinger album. There’s a track called ‘Behind The Mask‘ which starts off with a woman narrating – talking about being in slaughter houses and looking into the animals’ eyes as they’re being hung up by the neck. Gutted for us to eat, skinned for …

Last Monday morning was pretty mild and it was raining (yes, rain in February – isn’t climate change wonderful?) for the better part of it. As I pulled out of my parking spot on the second level of the semi-covered garage, I slid a little and realized it was pretty slick. Weird though, cause the parking lot upstairs seemed fine and had lots of salt laid down. In any case, I decided it was best if I took it slow. As I inched towards the ramp, I began to turn into it… but my car …

I received an email yesterday morning that has me scratching my head for a minute. After reading what appeared to be a security concern from PayPal, I decided to log in to my account from my bookmark instead of clicking on the link provided. I figured, if it was a serious issue, there would be note of it in my account after I log in. What do you know… no mention of it! That’s when I started digging around in the security section. Right at the top, there’s a couple very prominent boxes, one being …

Who [the fuck] thought it was a good idea to force trailers on people and disable standard functionality while they’re playing – forcing the viewer to sit through the entire trailer(s) or having to fast-forward through them? Seriously, what old-ass douchebag said ‘yeah, let’s make them watch a bunch of trailers and disable the menu and next-scene buttons so they have to watch them!’, while sipping his $5 moca-crappa-ccino? And better yet, who approved this idea and actually made it happen?
When I shell-out $20-$30 of my hard-earned cash for a DVD. I do not…

Somewhere along my journeys across the ol’ Interweb, I stumbled across a McDonald’s big box ad that with the phrase ‘A balanced diet. A balanced debate.’ My initial reaction was ‘Whoa, cool! They’re encouraging people to discuss their shitty food and it’s negative effects on you. That’s mighty brave of them.‘ Yeah, not so much. In the place of what should be a public forum, is a one-sided, carefully-worded piece of corporate propaganda put in place to extinguish the flames incited by Super Size Me.
After reading the ‘What do we think?’ …

Growing up as a skater through my teens, I was prone to being tormented by moronic jocks. And hockey jocks were the worst kind. Needless to say, that kind of stuck with me through-out the years. Maybe if hockey jocks and fans in general would stop doing completely retarded shit, I’d change my tune? But until then… I hate that shit!
Last night, team Canada won the world cup over Finland, or so I’m told. This resulted in thousands of ‘fans’ flooding the streets of Toronto, causing massive amounts of damage and terrorizing civilians. What …
