If you haven’t heard by now, apparently the boys have called it a day and are going on an ‘indefinite hiatus’. Their label issued a statement a few days ago to the media…
“For over a decade, Blink-182 has toured and done nonstop promotion all while trying to balance relationships with family and friends.”
And what a better time? Mark and Tom both have young children, everyone in the world who wanted to see them has done so at least once… and if they haven’t, it’s their own fault as they’ve had plenty of opportunities.,…

I’ve been listening to a lot of hip hop lately. I’ve always dabbled, but never really been consistent in listening to hip hop. But for the past few months, I’ve had one or two albums in constant rotation. Right now, I have four or five. Growing up, I was never huge into it. Mostly because I was blind to fact that there was a sub-genre called ‘conscious hip hop‘. I hate that name and think it’s ridiculous that the majority of hip hop artists are merely spewing shit from their mouths to catch a…

First off – fuck yeah! It’s been a while since I’ve had my asked kicked, and Comeback Kid did just that with their new album, Wake The Dead.
Recorded at The Blasting Room with Mr. Bill Stevenson (of Only Crime, Descendents/All, Black Flag fame), this album is super hard-hitting and just plain awesome through-and-through! It reminds me of the first couple Raised Fist albums combined with some Kid Dynamite, Good Riddance and lots of balls. Tons of balls even! This album reeks of balls! Ok, that’s a little gross… but…

The first time I listened to this album, I swear I was transported back to 1995. Looking back on so many great memories; my first big show – Rancid with AFI at the Warehouse, endless days of skateboarding and rocking my first band. So rad!
I will admit, I haven’t been super into Lagwagon since the original drummer left and being disappointed by their mediocre performance at Warped Tour ’97. But that hasn’t stopped me from loving this record and has actually got me listening to their newer albums with a new found…

Well, it’s finally happened. Canada has it’s own iTunes store.
Having read Downhill Battle’s take on iTunes, I wasn’t too stoked to jump on board and start handing my money over to the dinosaurs. But I was in a situation where I could either…
A. Never find the album I’ve been looking for since October 5th, when it was supposed to be released.
or…
B. Pay $8 and get it from iTunes instantly.
So yes, I gave in and shelled out my hard earned cash for some digital music that doesn’t really…

2002 was the last year I went to a Warped Tour. It was fuckin’ horrible. There’s was a ridiculous amount of stages and an abundance of shitty bands. The breaking point came when I was trying to watch Goldfinger on the main stage, but couldn’t hear them over the Union stage which was positioned facing the two main stages and was much louder. Lame shit. Now that all these make out clubbing, black market wearing emo-screamo-core clones are taking over the world, it’s no surprise they’re now the ‘highlight’ (no pun intended) of the Tour.…

No, I’m not urinating on the internet…
Last night was Systolic‘s second show. It was much better than the first! The sound was rad, we played tight and a shit ton of our friends came out to support us. Oh, and most importantly, the tuning was down to a minimum. At the first show we played (at The Dungeon), it was so hot that our guitars wouldn’t stay in tune. So everyone had to tune between every song. Got very tedius and kinda made the set drag out a bit. No worries last night…

The sure as hell isn’t anything worth listening to on the radio, but check this out…
There’s a new band that’s about to tear your face off and hand it to you. Only Crime is comprised of some of today’s punk rock legends. Russ Rankin from Good Riddance spouting his genius lyrics while Bill Stevenson of Descendents/All/Black Flag fame kicks your ass from behind the kit. Along with Aaron Dalbec (Bane/Converge), Donivan Blair (Hagfish) and Zach Blair (Hagfish, Gwar). Their debut album ‘To The Nines’ comes out next Tuesday (July 13th) on

As you may or may not know. I’m playing drums for a band called Systolic. To make a long story short, I helped form the band back in September of 2002 along with ex-Lucky Number Seven bassist, Brent Seeley. I left the band in May of 2003 and Brent followed suit shortly after. This past May I re-joined Systolic along with Matt Gibson, who’s now playing bass. We’ve been busy learning the new songs, re-learning some old ones and writing new tunes. Things are moving along nicely and we’ve got a couple shows lined…
