I disagree. Definitively. I'm sure, it's not the best game of the serie. I definitively miss my old Need Fot Speed games with Cops and all that stuff.

Sure, Shift could be one of the better Racing Simulations, but not one of the better Need For Speed games.

I'm definitely interested in seeing what Criterion does with the NFS series. Could be really cool!

It should only have the 3 buttons (article, comment, share) in the bottom too

I've had a lot of people say that, but it's not really possible. The height of each is variable, so the buttons would be jumping all over the place. And the state needs to change when you click one, which can't happen in two different places simultaneously. I might do a "back to top" button, though. Some of my reviews do tend to get pretty long.

Racing games are actually pretty damn hard with a wheel. Even with force feedback, I find that it just feels too loose compared to actually driving a car.

I loved the Touge events in GRID. Racing down the side of a mountain trying to overtake someone at ridiculous speeds = a good time! Same goes for drifting in Japan in the mountains.

The Forza 3 demo is pretty awesome! I'm really looking forward to that game now after playing it, and having taken NFS: Shift for a spin. It was like a taste of the greatness to come in Forza 3.

It's definitely a good game, but I'm not sure if I'd buy it. At least not yet, and not at full price. Since I'm not keen on the drift and car battle events, I clearly won't be finishing it up. And I'm sure I could blow through the rest of the events with another rental.

I was impressed by the level of details inside the car, very very nice, and by the adjustments made from prostreet. But it looks kinda of repetitive, just race after race after race (but I didn't played that much).

Played in the pc and it surprised me because it runs better/faster than prostreet and undercover, so thumbs up for EA for not making a shit port.

It's very cool, really the best nfs in the last 3/4 years. But closed circuits aren't my cup of tea, I'm hoping for the next year nfs, made by the Burnout guys, or for a nfs underground 3 (they really should do one!!!!)

(Btw, your new design rocks!!!!!! It should only have the 3 buttons (article, comment, share) in the bottom too, it's a little annoying after reading a post go back to the top to comment)

I just bought this game for my husband today. I haven't had a chance to play yet, so it's still neatly packaged waiting for him to open. I think I'm more intrigued by the sights and sounds then the actual game play; not a huge racing game fan. Maybe I'd enjoy them more with the Logitech racing wheel. I'm assuming you play with a controller?

Of all the racing games we own, GT5P is my fav & GRID is only fun (for me) when I've downed a few beers! Otherwise all the "car battles" would annoy the shit out of me.

Shift is the first NFS I've been interested in for a long time, but Forza 3 will be the one I get at launch. I'm not huge into racing games but I did like Forza 2. When it goes down in price I'll be more likely to pick up Shift as well.

I've been looking forward to this Need for Speed since it was first unveiled. The great Metacritic scores its been receiving and now your own, have only strengthen my will to get this game. Hopefully, in the coming days when I'll be going all out to cover my gaming needs for this fall. Excellent!
