Okay, okay. I'm the one who was responsible for this advertising campaign for Dodge. Our plans were to place a FEW Dodge Nitros and a FEW other Dodge vehicles throughout the game to use as cover. Unfortunately, it looks like they saturated the game. I'm a hardcore gamer myself (playing R6V2 right now as well as EA NHL). The focal point of the campaign was shared media (advertising in magazines, TV, online, etc.), the tournament, and in-game integration. We never want to overdo it, but there was definitely a disconnect between the developers and the advertising folks here. The future of gaming does have to include advertising to defray the cost, co-promote tournaments and the game's release, as well as ... well advertise. We (males 18-35) are avoiding television, consuming entertainment (media) via online and video games more than ever. To be relevant and tell people about new products, we have to find a way to make sure we're in front of people and telling them about new "stuff" to buy. The intent of good advertisers is to make the game more "real" and not piss people off. Make sure you continue to let everyone know the "right" way to do it because there definitely is a wrong way to do it (EA's Fight Night with "The King" as your PR man).

I'd love more feedback if you have any.

it's a shame that a mostly excellent game is ruined by some barking mad AI. Play terrorist hunt on any level and fire off a few rounds. You can then happily wait about while 30 or so terrorists come running into your gun fire from all over the map. Next Gen graphics, AI circa Dragon 32.

This may sound odd, but I'm all for the ads. If they can catch my attention real quick then kudos to them on a dollar well spent. I still won't buy Axe or a Dodge, but at least they're being creative.

PS - If you're playing Vegas for the achievements, read the forums first because a lot of them are glitched all to fuck. Don't waste your time if you don't have to.

Ubisoft definitely made a pretty penny off all this product placement. There's a shit ton of Axe ads in the form of billboards as well. As you're extracted from the first casino, you pass 3 giant billboards each with a different Axe ad.
