Out With the Old…

Well, well well… what have we here? A brand spankin’ new site – that’s what!

Over the long weekend, I found myself with a few spare hours, between family time, gaming and work. So I decided I’d put some work into myself – or my site, rather. I’m pretty stoked on the outcome, given the amount of hours I put into it. Which was somewhere between 4 and 6. Aside from the design overhaul, I’ve made some changes to the way the content is delivered. A few weeks ago I took a good look at my site and realized how disgustingly messy and unorganized it was. I’ve fixed those issues and then some.

There’s a new Archives page for your perusing pleasure. I think this is a better way of presenting older content than using tons of lists in the sidebar, as many sites do.

Thanks to Kamiel Martinet‘s handy random header image plugin, I was able to throw it a few images to rotate as you browse the site. For now, I’ve chosen a few screenshots from some upcoming and next gen games as well as some of my favourite games.

I still have a few things to add, and some tweaking to do on some of the design elements. I’ll be taking care of these whenever I find myself with a few spare minutes over the next few weeks. I’m not sure what I’m going to do about the images used in posts. I like throwing images in amongst the content, but I find it gets a little cluttered. There’s also a few ‘features’ I’d like to add – including recently uploaded Flickr images. Also coming in the next few weeks.

Anyway, have a look around and feel free to drop a comment with feedback.

  1. Wow! I love it! Seriously, pink and black are my two favourite colours in the world. You did a bang up job. I'm seriously impressed and loving the new design :)

  2. Heyyy, thanks a lot! As you can tell by the lack of change and how long it took me to respond, I haven't really had much time to put into this since I launched the new design last week. Fixed the comments, though!
