“Turn it up… fuckin’ loud!”

The sure as hell isn’t anything worth listening to on the radio, but check this out…

There’s a new band that’s about to tear your face off and hand it to you. Only Crime is comprised of some of today’s punk rock legends. Russ Rankin from Good Riddance spouting his genius lyrics while Bill Stevenson of Descendents/All/Black Flag fame kicks your ass from behind the kit. Along with Aaron Dalbec (Bane/Converge), Donivan Blair (Hagfish) and Zach Blair (Hagfish, Gwar). Their debut album ‘To The Nines’ comes out next Tuesday (July 13th) on Fat Wreck Chords. They’re touring with Bane through July then doing a handfull of Warped Tour dates in August. They’re on the Toronto stop, so make sure you check them out if you’re planning to go.

Rise Against has released a stream of ‘State Of The Union‘ which is off their up-coming major label release ‘Siren Song Of The Counter-Culture‘. It’s definitely not what you’re expecting to hear from Rise Against, but rad none the less. It’s a bit slower and a lot heavier than their previous work. At first, I figured their new guitarist (formerly of Reach The Sky) had something to do with it. But apparently he didn’t write any of the new songs, although he does play on the album.
