Man, My Site Looks Like Shit!
Sunday, April 23rd, 2006
Flickr feed is ‘broken’ and there’s no recent comments. WTF? WTF indeed! I’m working away on my new design and since some plugins only have one way of configuring how they’re displayed, I had to remove them from my current design in order to set them up in the new one. Hopefully you can live without them for a few more days.
Things are really taking shape now. The homepage is completely done and I just finished re-doing all the header images. Most of the text styles have been altered and it’s mostly just fine tuning now. Oh, and I still have to re-do the game rating system images along with the video window.
So please, don’t mind the mess. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to break my site while implementing the new design, but it was unavoidable. Just pretend everything looks a-ok. It will be soon…

It’s fine, Matt. Just as long as you put up an awesome reboot site on the 1st.

Yeah, don’t worry though, there’s no pressure.

you’re site’s hardly a mess. still better than mine

Not a big deal, once you finish up the new design you’ll probably get alot more traffic, its worth it.

Looking forward to the new look.

Man, I’m having fun trying to port my live site into my local dev site for rebooting. I have got an up to date copy now but am having lots of fun with “options” being stored in the db and some wierd things happening… is going to be interesting making it live again hehe.
6 days and counting…
Should be fun!
P.S. If you site’s a mess then I am budda himself

Redoing your site is a drag. For the last week according to google analyactics like 70% of my site has been folowing a link from your site, I assume from one of my comments. Awesome. heh

Heh, the pressure’s on now! Hopefully I don’t disappoint. But I’m sure some will prefer the darker colours of my current design to that of my new one.
@Jesse: 70%, wow! That’s rad dude. For you lurkers out there, that should be some decent incentive to post comments.
Anyway, I’m just about done now. I can pretty much launch with what I have now, although, there’s still a few items on my to-do list. We’ll see if I can crank them out this week. Depends on how much time is consumed by Feed Icons.

Hot shit!
Really.
I like the way you have realigned instead of turning the tables.
P.S.: I’m allowed to say “hot shit” here, am I not?

Matt is there anyway you can have a style switcher between the two sites?
Just a thought?

May I suggest. Just a little thought, maybe making the white backdrop at the top black. I think it would look nicer with “array” of colors ont he rest of your site.

Nicee… I was reading this entry and it was the old black design and then I refreshed and it turned pink! Good job with the color scheme!

good luck in your redesign.. hope you’ll make it in time..

Great redesign, congrat!

Goddamn this is some tight shit!
Really love the “Hot Pink” you used here!
Maybe one little thing; I was surfing on smallband and had images disabled, but I couldn’t find your main navigation…
Freakin’ hot!

Good luck Matt. My site is coming down to the wire too. That last 10% takes so much time to get right.

Would you PLEASE consider making your basic layout into a theme for Wordpress 2.0? I’m looking at the grey and black version of it right now and I absolutely love it. Everything is arranged perfectly… and the visual tension of the grunge/slick combination is awesome. And seriously — I would make a payment or donation for a theme that looks this great and functions so well. I think other people would too. Very nice work!

Nice site. Keep it up.
